Meet Robert Getter, MD
Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon | Fellowship-Trained Spinal Surgeon
Dr. Robert Getter is a board-certified and fellowship-trained spinal surgeon at Advanced Orthopedic Center. Prior to joining our team, he was in private practice for 13 years. He provides personalized and minimally invasive surgical care for a comprehensive range of neck and back disorders, including neck pain, back pain, cervical radiculopathy, lumbar radiculopathy (sciatica), myelopathy, scoliosis, lumbar stenosis, cervical stenosis, and spinal fractures.
Dr. Getter completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Maimonides Medical Center in New York City. Following residency, he pursued his interest in spinal disorders by completing a combined neurosurgical and orthopedic surgical fellowship at the Spine Institute of Arizona. He is currently an active member of the North American Spine Society.
Dr. Getter's surgical repertoire includes procedures such as decompressive laminectomy and more intricate reconstructive stabilization/fusion surgeries. He remains at the forefront of spinal procedures by staying abreast of the latest advancements in technique and technology. His fellowship training has equipped him with expertise in both traditional and minimally invasive spinal surgical interventions.
As a new member of the Advanced Orthopedic Center team, Dr. Getter is committed to delivering comprehensive support throughout the patient's journey, from initial diagnosis through treatment and rehabilitation. He prioritizes listening to each patient's unique story, accurately diagnosing their condition, and playing a pivotal role in their recovery.
Dr. Getter’s goal is to empower patients to resume their active lifestyles playing pickleball, swimming, biking, fishing, golfing, or gardening. He understands the debilitating and frustrating nature of neck and back problems and their potential impact on family dynamics.
