Current Job Opportunities:
Summary: Responsible to assess, evaluate, develop plans of care and implement therapy programs to restore maximum ROM, strength and function. Works closely with orthopedic physicians and PT staff focusing on orthopedics and musculoskeletal disorders.
Duties:
1. Conducts thorough assessment of patients’ physical condition to develop treatment plan
2. Collaborate with physicians to design treatment and care specific to the patient’s needs
3. Provides guidance to patients and families on home programs for continued progress
4. Maintains accurate and timely documentation in accordance with medical standards
5. Stays up to date on latest practices, trends, research and best practices to enhance the quality of care
6. Communicates effectively with patients and families for desired outcomes
Qualifications:
1. Graduate from an American Physical Therapy Association accredited physical therapy program.
2. Valid license in the state of Florida
3. Experience working in an orthopedic practice preferred
4. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
5. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet productivity goals
6. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s EMR systems
Physical Abilities:
1. Must be able to bend, stretch and reach to accomplish duties
2. Must be able to move about the clinic in confined areas
3. Must have adequate manual dexterity to write legibly and perform required procedures
4. Must have adequate visual acuity to read, interpret and transcribe written material to perform required procedures
5. Must have adequate hearing and speaking abilities to interact appropriately with others, including patients and co-workers
6. Contact involves dealing with sick people and people who are in pain
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Exempt- 40 hours per week
Job Duties:
Responsibilities:vitals, surgical paperwork and scheduling, appropriate documentation, obtaining authorizations, physically assisting patients as needed, preparing exam rooms, assisting provider with procedures etc. Works as part of a team with several providers.
Education, Skills, and Personality Traits Required:Certified or Register Medical Assistant.Team player but can also work independently, positive attitude, focused, compassionate, problem solving, multitasking, quick learner, inquisitive, success in adapting to a fast-paced environment.Must be a patient focused individual who is punctual and reliable. Works with multiple providers with two offices closely located. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being busy and learning multiple tasks.Must have a strong work ethic!
Computer Skills- EMR/EHR and practice management software.
