A certified physician assistant (PA-C), Meredith McCann joined Advanced Orthopedic Center in 2013. Meredith was a student athlete at the University of North Carolina – Wilmington, as well as at Florida Gulf Coast University, where she graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's of arts in biology. She then studied abroad in Belize while playing professional indoor volleyball as well as coaching the men’s and women’s volleyball teams at the University of Belize.
Meredith graduated from the physician assistant program at Nova Southeastern University of Southwest Florida in 2012. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants.
MaryAnna joined Advanced Orthopedic Center in 2013. She holds a biotechnology degree from Florida Gulf Coast University and a Master of Clinical Medical Sciences from Nova Southeastern University. She is a member of the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants and speaks fluent Polish.
Lydmila joined Advanced Orthopedic Center in 2016. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Maryville University in St. Louis and her BSN from Florida Gulf Coast University. She spent over 10 years as a circulating nurse in the operating room at Fawcett Memorial Hospital, and speaks fluent Russian and Ukrainian.
Amanda joined Advanced Orthopedic Center in September 2019. She holds a nurse practitioner’s degree from the University of Illinois Chicago and a BSN from the University of Phoenix. Amanda is also an active member of the Pain Medicine Academy for advanced practice providers. Her prior nursing experience includes pediatric orthopedics and adult hip and knee reconstructive surgery.
Kaitlin joined Advanced Orthopedic Center in August 2022. Originally from Illinois, she brings several years of orthopedic experience and holds a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Carroll University. She has been a member of the NCCPA since 2013.
Grace joined Advanced Orthopedic Center in October 2022. She holds a B.S. in Psychology from Penn State University and a Master of Health Science in PA Studies from Nova Southeastern University. She is affiliated with the NCCPA, AAPA, and FAPA, and coaches a local YMCA gymnastics program.
Mitchell joined Advanced Orthopedic Center in September 2024, bringing orthopedic experience from Orthopedic Physician Associates in New Hampshire. He graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine in 2022 and has been an NCCPA member since then. He sees patients primarily at the Venice location alongside Dr. Ng.
Lara joined Advanced Orthopedic Center in October 2024. She holds a B.S. in Nursing from Florida Southwestern State College and an M.S. in Nursing from the University of Saint Augustine. She previously worked at Advanced Orthopedic Center during high school before returning as a nurse practitioner.
Thanna joined Advanced Orthopedic Center in February 2025. She holds a B.S. in Exercise Physiology from West Liberty University in West Virginia and an M.S. in Physician Assistant Studies from Marietta College, and most recently worked at an orthopedic clinic in Lee County.
Lisa joined Advanced Orthopedic Center in early 2025. She holds a Masters Degree in family nurse practitioner from Herzing University and her BSN from the University of Central Florida. She spent 12 years as a registered nurse across Charlotte and Sarasota counties. Lisa is also an active member of the Pain Medicine Academy for advanced practice providers. Lisa works with the Interventional Spine team alongside Dr. James and Dr. Zusma.
